'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pharoah Way To Go

When I left for Egypt 15 days ago, we sat pretty in a play-off position and after the football we had played, there were little murmurs of a possibly great season.....

When I had chance (Wi-fi permitting) to check on our progress I found myself in deNile (See what I did there?! - oh I crack myself up) and questioning whether I had sun stroke or one too many all inclusive drinks! We had lost to Leyton Orient, Carlisle, Shreswbury and to rub salt into my wounds we lost on penalties to Port Vale in the JPT trophy.

Now Im not going to start alarm bells ringing but from hearing reports from various people who have been to all 4 games, we are still playing the great football that has been a pleasure to watch but we lack a plan B should our pretty approach not work.

From my own point of view take away George Bowerman and we have nothing upfront. I hope to see Ginger Mourinho dive into the loan market and bolster our front line to install some more confidence.
Also I have to question our wingers. Whether this is due to our pretty football going through the middle, our wingers arent getting into the positions to make crosses or score many goals themselves.

The next few games are crucial as to what season we have, I just hope that we dont find ouselves on a severe losing run and see our good start fizzle into another relegation scrap.

Lets concentrate on Crewe this weekend and get back to winning ways. Lets hope my return back to Old Blighty is the omen Walsall need to get back on track.

GIZA win Walsall!
