Walsall go into this game in second place trying to break a poor run of form which has seen them lose the last three games. Whilst Barnet go into this game on the back of a home win over Swindon. Walsall have added two loan signings and it is possible that more may follow.
DD has asked for the fans to produce 'Roar power' to help the team on and the new faces have certainly lifted the spirits. Darren Wrack and Dean Keates have also issued there own rallying calls to the team to step up a gear.
Who knows new signings Kevin Harper and Kevin Cooper go straight into satur days squad. There is still a chance they will be join by one or two others. Roper is out Picken not ready and Gerrard not a hundred percent so defencive changes are possible.
If we have a player anywhere close to the Kevin Harper of seven years ago then we have a player which will trouble league two defences.
They will be without Ismail Yakubu, as the centre back picked up a thigh strain last week and former Mansfield striker Adam Birchall is unlikely to be fit, after injury. Goalkeeper Lee Harrison will still be missing as well.
Veteran Paul Warhurst (once of Manchester City, Bolton and Oldham amongst many others) also doubtful with illness. Former Gillingham player-manager Andy Hessenthaler, the 40-odd year old Hessenthaler was a sub on Tuesday night and plays most of his games nowadays coming off the bench. Oliver Allen, son of ex Spurs and QPR prolific scorer, Clive Allen, scored his first goal for the club in what was his first full appearance against Swindon.
A player rejected by MK Dons has found his footballing feet at Barnet and could well prove a difficult player to handle if on the top of his game.
Having struggled in there last seven league games Barnet turned the corner against Swindon we hope we can break the run of three consecutive defeats.
If we are to maintain an automatic promotion push then three points is a must.
Sat 3rd March we visit another form team in Darlington. JJ and Tommy Wright await.
