Here comes one massive Banana skin. Walsall on the back of a 5-0 thrashing of Peterborough face Macclesfield who are three points adrift at the foot of the table with only two points and a goal difference of -10, in three games against Walsall they have never won, losing two drawing one conceeding 12 goals scoring just one. The record book needs to be thrown out the window this is going to be a lot harder than it seems.
Both managers have been full of praise for tuesdays performances, but Walsall took the points.
As we write walsall are awaiting for the appeal on Anthony Gerrards red card. Otherwise everything is as it was, the only question is will DD change a winning side.
Impressive when he came on as sub on tuesday. The midfield looked a lot more dynamic with him. However Dean Keates with three goals to date hasn't done much wrong, so it's up to you Dickie Dosh.
Ian Brightwell has a calf strain so will be missing. The goal threat will come from Mathew Tipton who is on loan from Bury and is hoping to recaputure his goal scoring form. Likely to be partner to Forest loanee Spencer Weir-Daley.
Tippy scored over 50 goals in his last spell and if we give him a chance he is likely to put it away. Be warned.
A 2-0 home win is the only other time Macclesfield have visited Bescot. At Moss Road we have draw and won a cup tie 0-7.
Stats, history, current form, league table all point to a home win but becareful football has a habbit of kicking you in the teeth.......not this time though
Tuesday 19th September Bolton Wanders try to become the first team to score at Bescot this season (unless Macclesfield beat them to it)
