Here we go again. With the matches coming thick and fast you hope Walsall can find their early season form sooner rather than later.
In 3 weeks time, once we have played around 6 matches I hope we have turned the corner!!
Swindon come to The Banks's following a weird set of results. Really dont expect much different under the stewardship of Paul Di Canio.
They've lost to Crewe, Colchester and Macclesfield in recent weeks but also hammered Stevenage, Bournemouth and Burnley - which Swindon will arrive tomorrow?
Despite their inconsistent few months Swindon still find themselves in 7th spot.
Walsall will sweat on the fitness of Fabian Brandy and Ben Purkiss. Both missed Tuesday 4-1 thumping. Walsall will be without Flo Cuvelier who has returned to Stoke for an ultra sound scan on his hamstring.
I wouldnt be surprised if Jimmy Walker returned between the sticks following the goals conceeded lately.
Sounds harsh but at this moment without Flo there isnt anyone to threaten Swindon!
Swindon will be without Aden Flint (suspended) and Tommy Miller,Fede Bessone and Alan Navarro (injured)- Alan McCormack and John Bostock are doubts.
Swindon may be boosted by the loan signing of Gary Madine.
The Eire U-21 striker has been in great form this season, scoring 6 goals alreayy this term.
Swindon HAVE players that can score all day long and with Williams, Ritchie, McCormack and De Vita - it is a scary proposition.
In the 43 games played at Walsall, we have managed to win 20 of them compared to Swindon's 11, drawing 12. Our last match v Swindon ended up with a 2-1 defeat.
The man in the middle is Rob Lewis from Shropshire. He has refereed 8 games this season and has dished out 25 yellow cards and 1 penalty. An average of 3 cards a game and a penalty it maybe a bit lively tomorrow!
On the basisi of form and league placings, Walsall should lose this heavily. However we do seem to raise our game against the 'bigger' sides in this league. 1-1
