Fox Deal almost done

The Walsall edition of the Express and Star are reporting that Dan Fox is likely to move before the weekend and that manager DD has let slip some interesting detail about the possible move to Cov.

It quotes DD as expecting Dan Fox to leave by the weekend for a cash fee of up to £500,000.

The Express and Star had previously reported that Coventry City had a bid accepted on Tuesday, which was anticipated to be in the region of £250,000 plus a series of performance and results based add-ons. However it now reports that Money revealed today that the final figure will be a straight cash deal.

"It`s been reported accurately in the newspapers and the media that the fee is in excess of £350,000 and I`ve seen £500,000 quoted in some places," Money said.

"But £200,000 wouldn`t buy his right foot, never mind his left."

It is all interesting stuff so perhaps that is why Leeds Uniteds offer to pay by installments and with add ons got knocked back. With us having Boertien and Holmes down the left handside I feel confident that we have a solid basis to work with, hopefully the cash will help seal the Ricketts move and other loans if required. Another striker and right sided midfield player would be nice.

Also on radio WM DD has hinted that the Saddlers left-back will join the Sky Blues on Friday, Money told BBC WM: 'I see no reason why he wouldn't want to go to Coventry - it's a wonderful club.

'I know all about it from my time there.

'He is already the complete player,' Money added.

'I think it's very important that people realise that we consider that Danny is a left-back of Championship quality at least.'

good job we got two more in Boertien and Taundry to replace him then.
