'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Saddlers January curse

We have a history since I can remember of things going Pete Tong in January, whether this is myth built on a couple of instances where our season has plumented in the New Year or whether it is fact, the important thing is it is true in the mind of many Saddlers. So what will happen this season, well the fixture list has given us the following in Jan...
Doncaster (H)
Yeovil (A)
Swindon (H)
Bristol Rovers (A)
Gillingham (H)
Leyton Orient (H)
Why we rearranged an away trip to Yeovil on a tuesday in January I don't know but that is looking increasingly difficult, as will the new years game at The Banks's against in form Donny. Of the others, no game is easy but if we are going to make any impression in this league The Banks's form needs to match last seasons fortress Bescot, so these games are must wins if we are to build a platform for a top six finish....in short we can't afford our usual January blip.

Of course a little matter of a third round FA Cup tie at home to Millwall, can we really beat them three times in one season !!!

How many points do you think will be an acceptable achievement.
