Walsall looking to strengthen

Walsall looking to strengthen

Whilst we might not be looking to bring anyone in just at the moment. DD and Paul Taylor are spending a lot of tie doing research into players who might just be available should injuries or suspensions hit the squad.

Whilst this goes on in most clubs it is refreshing to know we are attempting to stay ahead of the game.

Walsall who played a trialist in the reserve game against Oldham have announced that they are not continuing there interest inthe ex Leeds United man Gylfi Einarsson,. They also refused to be drawn on the future of Dwayne Mattis who is on a months loan. Rumours are afoot that Barnsley would be willing to listen to offers but will Walsall stump up a transfer fee....traditionally we don't do transfer fees, the fact that ou
r record transfer fee is 175K for Alan Buckley in the 70's says it all, especially when we had sold him for the same amount and the transfer fee was only returning the monies already paid and cancelling future instalments owed to us!!!!
