Saddlers on tour-Pub guide
If they have forgiven us for stealing the championship is another matter, but a pleasent day out up north is in store, although the cold September winds will have replaced the glorious sunshine we had in those early August visits a couple of seasons ago, so perhaps sitting outside at the Wharf bar will not be on the adgenda this time around.
If you are going by train the station exits onto Church Street which has plenty of choices one my northern friends recomend is The Ward Jackson which is a Lloyds No1 pub, and is pleasent enough with a decent food menu.
My favorite is The Jackson`s Wharf on the Marina, especially if the kids are on the tall ship in the nearby museum. Car parking is free here, only 6 minutes walk from the ground. The pub has excellent food and a wide selection beer.
The corner flag club at the ground, is another option like most social clubs a small door charge is asked for, but the biggest problem it can get crowded.
