With Saturday's result still lingering around the Banks's Stadium like a plague of locusts, DD's men have a lot to prove to not just the fans or the club, but to themselves. A 3-0 home defeat in any division provides a good reason to press the panic button, even at this stage in the season. You can say it's early days till your blue in the face, but the fact of the matter is the games are not going to get any easier than they have been. Hartlepool away ended in defeat last season, and we still beat them to the title. It just goes to show that anything can still happen, but with the way the club is being managed, I am starting to wonder if DD will be in charge by Christmas.
In a week which has seen Chelsea without Mourihno, you do start to wonder where the next shock in football is coming from. DD has proved to be one of the best Walsall managers in recent times by winning a league title in his first season. However, it does not offer job security for life, as football fans and chairmen have short-term memories. They can go off you quicker than semi-skimmed milk if you don't pull your wait, and as a fan, I am starting to doubt DD. His team selection, choices of signings, management style, etc, has been nothing short of shocking so far this season. He let Dean Keates depart, and I don't care what excuse he uses, he should have tied Deano down to a longer deal. He may as well have brought in ply-wood to replace him in the midfield, as Danny Sonner not a goalscoring midfielder. Nothing is being done, and when a good player comes around like Ishmel Demontagnac, he gets substituted for not defending properly. Pathetic! Sort it out, or League Two will be back at the Banks's next year.
