Leyton Orient V Walsall-The ref

Leyton Orient V Walsall-The ref

Mr C Penton, the name might not ring any bells for most Saddlers. However the man from Sussex will certainly ring a bell or two for our own Ishmel 'asbo' Demontagnac. Since it was this ref who sent Ishy off in that incident in our 1-1 draw at Forest on the 10th December 2005.

However recently our paths have crossed have been a bit more fortunate. Last season he reffed Walsall twice, our away win at Plymouth and our vital home win over Wrexham. Whilst he was quiet kind to us in terms of cards at our matches he did in fact dish out 105 yellows and 4 reds. It appears he has calmed down from the season before that when his 39 games brought 125 yellows and 9 reds.

Will he be a lucky ref again!!
