League One Preview

League One Preview

The football season is back!! All four divisions, including League One, kick off their schedules today, as Vital Walsall brings you coverage of all the up and coming fixtures on a weekly basis. We will preview the biggest game of the weekend, as well as give you a list of the whole fixture list happening in League One.

This week, every match in League One is a big game, as every club looks to get off to a good start. Clubs such as Leeds and Nottingham Forest, who will want to show that their 'big-boy` status is justified. Leeds will want to start their campaign with a victory at Tranmere after they received a 15-point deduction for failing to come out of administration using the Football League`s guidelines. The Yorkshire club has had a controversial summer, but the club has now stabilised itself enough to sign some players, which include former Aston Villa midfielder Alan Thompson. Forest, on the other hand, have had no real problems during the summer, with the club even announcing plans to move to a new stadium from the City Ground in the not too distant future. Colin Calderwood`s side are favourites to win the division over the next nine months, and they will be looking to start by getting three vital points of AFC Bournemouth.
