Boertien: Walsall is a big club

New Walsall full back Paul Boertien has declared that he is extremely happy to be a Saddler, also saying he wants success with the club.
The 28-year-old briefly helped Derby County reach the top flight last season, before injury cut his season short, consquently resulting in his release from the club.
Boertien told Walsall's website that he cannot wait to start the next chapter of his career.
He said: 'I had been at Derby a long time and sometimes a change of surroundings can do you good.
'I want to play at the highest level possible and Walsall is a big club who I want to help get back into The Championship.
'Richard Money is very positive and once I proved my fitness to him, the deal was completed very quickly.'
Boertien is expected to make an appearance in tomorrow's pre-season match with Birmingham City (KO 3pm).
