Walsall's Frecklington bid

Lee Frecklington, Lincolns highly rated midfield player has come under the radar of Walsall manager DD according to the local press. Since the player is under contract Walsall have placed a bid for this player.

DD has already said he wanted to try and cherry pick certain players from league two, and Frecklington fits this description, it had of course been mentioned in a number of fans forums as well as on here, so it is really only confirmation of old news.

The questions are will Lincoln let one of there better players go for a price we can afford. Also how great is Lee Frecklingtons desire to leave he is a local Lincoln lad and has been with the Imps since year dot. Of course what could be a big influence is what other clubs are interested, Leeds have been rumoured however the fact that the leagal challenge by the Inland Revenue means that they still have transfer restrictions placed upon them could see them drop out of the picture. Some sources also suggest that Lee had hopes for a move to a Championship club, however at the moment there is little confirmed interest from clubs at that level, but that may change if other players move on...let the merry go round begin!!
