'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spence Weir Daley and Walsall

According to reports in the local press DD has stated that Spencer wanted to join the Saddlers and had talks with the club. However despite the fact that he looked good against us whilst on loan at Macclesfield and Lincoln and finding the net twice at Walsall in front of the Sky camera's DD said no!!

DD has stated that he asked the question if Spencer Weir-Daley was infact better than our own young strikers Troy Denney and Alex Nicholls...the answer must have been that the Forest player wasn't any better.

This must be a real shot in the arm for the young duo. However a number of Walsall fans have been vocal in there opinions that they 'fancied' Spencer in a Walsall shirt. However the fact that despite impressive loan spells he has ended up at Notts County with Hector Sam may say it all.

So at the end of the day we must trust DD's judgement but the fact we have rejected a front two of Jack Lester and Spencer Weir Daley, will make some Saddlers nervous. Lets hope the rumours of bigger and better things been in the pipeline come off!!

Some of the reports from Forest and Lincoln were that he blew hot and cold, his best performance was against us!!!
Big No 9
I don't think you'll miss him too much. Opinions were mixed at Valley Parade - lots of people weren't impressed with his inability to put chances away in the crucial relegation match against Orient
