Saddlers ready for preseason

With the summer well into swing, maybe not weatherwise, it means that football teams up and down the country will be looking to start preseason.
However, Walsall are different, as they have already been back doing maintenance work for the last four weeks, but DD says they are ready to step it up next week.
DD told the official site: 'It will be good to see the group back together. Our two new signings and the new young pro's will also be training with the team for the first time and I'm looking forward to seeing them all.
He then explained how the team would be concentrating on continuing with the fitness programme of recent weeks to assess the condition of the Saddlers squad.
He added: 'It will be strength and conditioning work to start with and we probably won't get the footballs out until the next week.'
The Saddlers first preseason game will be on July 17 against Boldmere St Michaels (KO 7.30pm), before the full squad travels to Worcester City on July 21 (KO 3pm).
