A Season ticket idea

With season ticket sales a hot topic of conversation at a number of clubs any ideas seem to be welcomed with open arms. Especially is the bigger clubs have woken up and smelt the coffee, to address the fact that they were in danager of pricing themselves out of the market. For instance our local rivals Aston Villa have been selling special adult season tickets at £200 for the season!! how this will effect the smaller clubs only time will tell.

So despite the lauderable efforts of Roy Whalley and his team at the Bank's it was with interest that I read what was happening elsewhere. Whilst the idea would not get extra bottoms on seats but at least it gives much needed clarity to the situation. One non league club (the name escapes me) has set a target for season ticket sales....nothing new there, but they hve said if they reach that target they would be able to reduce the match day admission price, the more tickets they sell the more they give back to the fans!!!

Like any idea it has it's draw backs and risks, but In appauld such individual thinking.......what do you think.

I agree. The ticket prices at our near neighbours in Brum have lowered their prices for season tickets, so much so that it is going to smash their sales record. To watch Walsall costs way too much and the idea of the more season tickets we sell, the lower the matchday prices will be will really anger the season ticket holders. We need to lower all prices, full stop.
