Walsall signing

The official site has announced that young defender Scott Dann has signed a new deal tieing him to the club until 2010. DD has described the deal as our most significant yet.

Walsall to commit to a three year deal shows what a prospect Scott Dann is. Showing him the door would have been one of Mersons bigest mistakes. It also shows a clear message to our other young players what can happen if you make the grade.

Hopefully this will send some of the Championship vultures who were gathering around Walsall packing. It is certainly good news as rumours had suggested that Dann might have been sold to fund other team building, so lets see what next week brings.
