Walsall miss out on striker

Whilst missing out on Jack Lester isn't a disaster and in some ways not a suprise, the fact he decided to join Chesterfield was.

According to sources one of the factors was to remain closer to his home than the move to Walsall. So some you win and some you lose However the fact that Chesterfield have offered him a three year deal, something he wouldn't have got at Walsall was the real clincher.

Lets look upwards and onwards

The three year deal was clearly the deciding factor!

Three year deals are tempting. So many players use the "closer to family" line though. Which is understandable until they decide to sign for teams even further a field. Its all money

Lester couldve done a job for you in League 1 too, still a decent striker at that level, ah well, your loss is certainly Chesterfields gain in this case
