'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Walsall's sponsor is named

We told you weeks ago we mentioned it when Easyfit were named as new shirt sponsors. Now it's official the Bescot stadium is no more...we now play at Bank's Stadium, well for the next five years we do anyway. The club have announced the five year sponsorship deal with Banks's, although no official figures have been released it is thought to be worth approx 250k per year. What is known is it is the biggest 5 year deal the club have ever signed.

If any of you have been past Bescot sorry Banks's Stadium you will see the nice new signage is already in place.

One rumour which was quiet strong was that the deal with Banks's would include some sort of tie in with the building of the new stand, this has not been mentioned so far. So one can only think that we are still in a market for that deal.

If any ground has to have a sponsors name I think Banks's would be amongst the most acceptable. It's not as if you have a long history at the Bescot and for that kind of money it seems a good deal
Whats the new stand development about then? Increase in capacity?

The new stand will be an exact copy of the home Floors to go stand, but it will have a massive advert on the back to show over the motorway...we are trying to close a deal to sell this advertising space which would pay for the building of the stand, then any monies made from the extra facilities would go back into the club. Of course when the deal is up we would resell the advertising space......big profit
