There was an air of expectation as the Walsall faithful expected the Saddlers to march to the top of the league and put the fight for the championship into our own hands. Unfortunatly nobody explained this to Bury, as the team failed to turn up. The wrath from some sections has been total and whilst everyone can undersatnd the disappointment, don't forget we have actually got promoted....remember, also how many expected that this time last year. So guys and girls lets get a grip.
What has gone has gone, nobody was happy with what we saw, even DD, Money said: 'I gave them the biggest rollicking of their lives at half-time and I got some response in the second-half but it was not good enough and it was too late.
'Let's hope we can put it right next week against Wrexham because the fans deserve it. I am disappointed because everyone had come to celebrate a wonderful season of promotion and the fans deserved much better than that. We are in the entertainment business.'
As for the Championship, there maybe other twists yet, Hartlepool visit Rochdale, whilst we entertain Wrexham. Who knows what will happen, the fat lady hasn't started singing yet.
In particular some of the comments aimed at individual players has been out of order, such as those aimed at Martin Butler for example, even Craig Pead who has appeared in the PFA League two team, so Saddlers fans whilst have the right to there opinion they need to wake up and smell the coffee.
