Walsall need a Friend

Walsall need a Friend

It has been a while since Walsall crossed paths with Kevin Friend. In his last game involving Walsall was a 3-2 home win over Blackpool, he was Walsall's friend for booking Blackpools Keigan Parker much to the delight of the Bescot crowd. Only for him to become Blackpools friend by booking Bennett and Murphy. Blackpools Southern and Taylor made 5 bookings in total.

Mr K A Friend is a ref who likes a yellow card almost as much as Jason Lee likes collecting them. In fact this season he has already issued 82 yellows in 31 games, with 6 reds on top of that. In fact there hasn't been a singlr game this season in which he hasn't booked someone.

Last season saw 45 yellows in 21 games with two reds, but he managed a whole six games with no cards. In the previous season, his 37 games saw 107 yellow cards and 7 reds, with only 3 cardless games. Prior to that the season had 27 games 98 yelows 4 reds and no cardless games.

One ray of hope is that Kevins last three visits to Meadow lane he has let to see a County win, a 3-3 draw, a 2-3 defeat and a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Kidderminster have been the final outcomes.
