We have had Ricketts in the past now TB has broken out at Bescot....thats Trevor Benjamin for those that don't know.
He is still only 28 years old and is playing for his 15th club, and he hasn't always been apreciated by fans of the clubs for whom he has worn the shirt. He has been called most names under the sun, with Donkey perhaps been the kindness. The thing is he does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak, an old fashioned style forward who puts himself about and upsets defenders.
This weekend could have been described as the Trevor Benjamin weekend. Thats something of a shock to the Peterborough fans who laughed out loud when he joined the Saddlers on loan. The Boston fans are still wondering if it is the same player who couldn't get a game. However his contribution has been massive not only his general play but a goal at Torquay, and of course that penalty that he won. All in all that equals a major contribution to three points gained. Then look at yesterday he was a constant menace to the Hereford back line, his offside goal from my angle was a close call but not as bad as the one ruled out at the Dons. Who was brought down when bursting through the centre to which ended in Hereford going down to 10 men...TB. Of course who was there to pop in the goal...Dean Keates but right next to him was TB who would have done exactly what Deano did.
So whether you like him or not or call him 'Heskey' you can not fail to agree that the table might be looking some what different if it wasn't for his contribution, from the MK Dons game onwards.
The question is should he stay or should he go at the end of the season.
