He's an extract on the Stanley Ultra's
I went to watch AC Milan last season, they were at home to Roma. It was, without doubt, the best atmosphere at a football match I`ve ever been too… It was hostile, initimidating, noisy and generally everything that would leave a football fan in awe. Compared to Old Trafford,
Nou Camp, Highbury, Stamford Bridge, it left them trailing miles behind.
Why? The fans… More specifically, the Ultra`s as they known. The real hardcore fans…
Hearing fire-crackers go off inside an enclosed stadium nearly made me shat myself at first, seriously. My mate and I looked at each other and it took a couple of seconds before we realised what it was… The Roma Ultra`s were throwing flares from the 3rd tier, setting off fire-crackers and acting like a group of madman. We`d encountered them earlier on the underground in Rome, where about 200 of them were being given a police escort, scarves across their face etc. They looked crazy.
Anyway, why am I talking about this? Because when I saw these Stanley Ultra's I nearly wet myself with laughter… Forget the Rome Ultra`s, forget the Milan Ultra`s, forget the fascist groups
of football fans that dominate and terrorize Seria A, the only ultra fans the world need worry about are the Accrington Stanley Ultra`s. Yes, that`s right, the Stanley Ultra`s are here to terrorize the world, with their walking sticks, zimmer frames and Cheese & Onion cobs.
