'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Walsall's two Kev's to stay

Last week DD said he wanted them to stay, last week the two Kev's, Kevin Harper and Kevin Cooper said they wanted to stay. So it is all down to the respective clubs to say yes. However in both cases there will be a 24 hour recall option.

However things moved further on over thw weekend. An interview in the local Sunday paper the Sunday Mercury has Kevin Cooper as stating that he hasn't ruled out coming and playing for the Saddlers next season as a contracted player. Although he still has a desire to play in the Championship he has a stronger desire to be playing first team football. Another driving force for such a move is that whilst he was at Wolves he and his family settled well in Staffordshire, and still have a house there. Both Kevin and his wife have a wish to return and settle there, that would be possible if he is playing for the Saddlers.
However he has another year to run on his Cardiff contract so a lot would depend on what Dave Jones has in store for him.

A move for Kevin Harper in the summer seems less likely. Although he is local in terms of where he lives, his long term abition is to move back north of the boarder, where he has a bespoke Tailor bussiness with a partner who is teaching him the trade, suit you sir.

I imaging it depends what wages he wants and what pay off he can get from Cardiff.
