Walsall's Ian Roper woe

Despite been carried off in the 16th minute Ian Roper returned home with the rest of the team last night. However he has a very swollen and painful knee. The true extent of the injury will not be known until some of the swelling has gone down and the joint can be scanned.

Initial fears however surround the possibility that it is a more extensive ligament injury than the slight strain he has just recovered from. In fact a worse case senerio is that the damage to the medial ligaments could see Roper out for the best part of what remains of the season.
