BRISTOL ROVERS have recruited Cardiff City defender Joe Jacobson on loan for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old Welsh Under-21 international was previously on loan at Accrington. CHESTER CITY have signed Everton midfielder Alan Kearney, 19, on a month`s loan. The Republic of Ireland Under-21 has moved to the Deva Stadium after impressing on trial. MACCLESFIELD defender Danny Swailes has committed his future to the club by signing a new one-and-a-half-year contract. The 27-year-old former Bury man has been a rock at the back for the Silkmen. Also, HEREFORD have written to the Football League as to why their match with CHESTER CITY was postponed last week. The Bulls were told that the game was to go ahead, and then it would be delayed before it was called off. Turner`s men also want to extend the loan spell of Cheltenham striker Steve Guinan, after the 31-year-old has scored two goals in three games. SWINDON defender Andy Nicholas has been punished by his club for being convicted of drink-driving. The 23-year-old was banned for driving for 20 months at Swindon Magistrates Court on Thursday after he was arrested last week. And finally, MK DONS insist that there new 22,000 all-seater stadium will open in July. The capacity is also set to be increased to 33,000 in 12-18 months, with the stadium becoming one of only five stadiums in England to meet Uefa`s four-star requirement.
