Leeds Join Rangers And Marseille In Hunt For WBA's Roberts
Leeds United have now joined the race to sign WBA striker Tyler Roberts according to well respected journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter and according to The Daily Mail have now had a £4m bid rejected.
Rumours suggest it will take £300,000 in compensation to sign Roberts permanently in the summer with Marseille and Rangers set to send scouts to watch him in action this Saturday at Charlton.
Roberts has been on loan with the Saddlers since August and has impressed whilst scoring five goals in a team which struggles to create many chances.
Roberts has previously had loan spells at Oxford and Shrewsbury before moving to the Saddlers and all three clubs see him as an ideal signing.
Roberts loan deal is due to end with the Saddlers within the next two weeks and it looks increasingly unlikely that he will remain with us, leaving manager Jon Whitney with an uphill task of finding replacements.
