EFL Trophy Details

The draw for the next round of the EFL Trophy will be made on Friday at 18:30. Southampton legend Matthew Le Tissier will be drawing the sides.

The Saddlers defeated Shrewsbury 1-0 on Tuesday evening thanks to a goal from Amadou Bakayoko and qualified as group winners.

As group winners we will face a northern runner up from the first half of draw.

Our possible opponents will come from the following

Leicester U21's
Accrington Stanley
Oldham
Bury

As winners of the group, the Saddlers will face one of the above four sides at home.

The competition as now reached a knockout phase and sides are just four more games away from Wembley Stadium.

Last years winners Coventry were eliminated after finishing third in the Saddlers group.
