Oztumer In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Oztumer In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Walsall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Jodi Jones in the two one victory over Oxford United at the weekend at the Kassam Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Oztumer was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Oztumer weaved his midfield magic again for Walsall, scoring one and creating another in their 2-1 win away at Oxford United. His goal couldn`t have been much easier after good work from Joe Edwards, but he threaded the perfect pass for Tyler Roberts to net the Saddlers` winner.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Oztumer for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Murphy (Bury), Danny Grainger (Carlisle United), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Oliver Lancashire (Swindon Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United), Junior Morais (Peterborough United).

Manager - Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
