Walsall's Rivals: L2 News

Not too much has happened in L2 this week, just signings galore. PETERBOROUGH have hit the back-pages this week by signing 22-year-old striker Craig Mackail-Smith for £125,000 from Dagenham and Redbridge and two days later Barry Fry is threatening to sue the player, having failed to attend training. Also, Posh have signed 28-year-old midfielder Gavin Strachan from HARTLEPOOL on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Walsall target Jamie Ward has moved to Chesterfield and the TORQUAY striker has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with the Spirites. LINCOLN have also moved for Forest`s 34-year-old defender Nicky Eaden and he arrives on-loan until the end of the season. BARNET have also been busy by signing two Tottenham players, former England under-16 captain, midfielder Stuart Lewis, along with 22 year-old goalkeeper Robert Burch.

In other news, ACCRINGTON have signed goalkeeper Przemyslaw Kazimierzak from Bolton, DARLINGTON have added 31 -year-old former Doncaster striker Gregg Blundell, and WYCOMBE have signed 24 year-old former Celtic winger Anthony McParland on a permanent basis from Barnsley.
