Award for Walsall's Clayton Ince?

The football league have announced a partnership with sponsors Puma to introduce a Golden boot and Golden Glove awards.

The idea for golden boots for the top goal scorers is well established. However the goalkeepers union will be please that the powers to be have decided to reward keepers too.

The golden glove will be awarded for the number of clean sheets, as they release that clean sheets can win matches too.

The award so far see's Walsall's Clayton Ince in third spot a clean sheet behind stoppers from Bristol Rovers and Hartlepool.

In the goal scoring stakes there is no sign of a Walsall player at the moment but lets hope Martin Butler can force his way into contention, that number of clean sheets and goals for would surely bring promotion.
