Preston saga continues

Preston saga continues

The latest chapter in the Matt Preston saga has been issued by Manager Jon Whitney, and we're still not really any closer to knowing whether he will be a Walsall player when the transfer window closes.

Speaking to the Express & Star Whitney, said:

"Matt is still not sorted.

"I am hoping he can still maintain his fitness with us. I think I need to try and look at a few loans for my younger players before I can get Matty in."

Clear cut as ever! 'I think' really shouldn't be a phrase used by a Manager on the eve of the new season. In my opinion, Preston isn't going to be much more than a League Two defender, but the fact that this situation has been allowed to drag on for so long makes the club look weak at best.
