'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Walsall's Deadline day deals

Whilst still waiting to see if anything happens with the rumour about New Zealander Noah Hickey another man moves out.

James Constable has left the club for an undisclosed fee, although it is understood to be around the 20k mark with sell on clauses. He joins Kidderminster Harriers with whom he has spent time on loan. During this spell he had a rich vien of goal scoring form. This has led to question if it is the right thing to do, but the fact that he was out of contract in the summer means it probably is.

James has fallen behind Sam, Butler, Cederqvist and also Alex Nicholls who is a different type of striker. James Constable managed to score just three goals in his 23 appearances in the League for the Saddlers (14 as sub), two of those coming in the same game, at home to Blackpool. Other goals comming against weakened teams in various competitions.

The move is right for Beano, regular first team football and a chance to show that his goalscoring instincts have not vanished over night. I for one wish him well and hope he achieves his aim and returns to League football in the near future.....earning the Saddlers more cash in the process.
