Retained and Released list

Retained and Released list

With speculation around Jon Whitney's future continuing to grow, the club have today announced the released and retained list following the 2016/17 season.

New Contracts offered:

Neil Etheridge (3 years)

Liam Roberts (1 year with a 1 year option)

Matt Preston (2 years)

Rory Oliver (6 months)

Tobias Hayles-Doherty

Cameron Peters

Will Shorrock

Sam Tonks

Free Transfers:

Craig MacGillivray

Isaiah Osbourne

Franck Moussa

Theo Vassell

Bradley Caswell

Lezion Cela

Ashley Maddocks

Option for 2017/18

Adam Chambers

This list is along with the 15 players already contracted for next season, although it's fair to say that only a handful would considered first-team regulars. Once again Jon Whitney has an exceptionally busy summer, however this time it looks like a lot of it is his own creation.

One thing is for certain, it's crucial that the club keep hold of Erhun Oztumer not only for his on the field contributions but his sale could potentially spark levels of supporter dissatisfaction not seen since the Hutchings era.
