'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Knight in shining armour.

Richard Money recently spoke on Radio W.M. about his attempts in the transfer market. While it wasn't neccesarily inpossible to bring in better players, he spoke of the possible risk a move in the market could leave the club's future in. Though he was mainly speaking about his hunt for creative midfielders he also discussed strikers he had tried to bring to the club before deciding on Swedish striker Par Cederqyst. He mentioned a striker who had joined one of our league rivals for around 100,000, which I believe to be Scott McGleish who joined Wycombe Wanderers. But the manager did mention he had the possibility of bringing want-away striker Leon Knight to the club from Swansea city for a bargain 150,000. He decided that the raise in the club's wage structure and the striker's temperament was too much a risk for him. Knight is no stranger to controversy after issuing claims he wanted Brighton to be relegated after he left and for celebrating zealously in front of Brentford fans after his two goals for the Swans at Griffin Park. It's interesting too see the calibre of striker who are attracted to the club.
