'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DD speaks on Coventry Job

Whilst nobody would expect DD to give a come and get me message to Coventry it is reassuring to hear his comments.

DD has labeled the news of him been 9/2 third favorite for the Coventry job as pure speculation. He has stated that he feels that his previous 4 years coaching at the Sky blues is the reason for the press and Bookie speculation.

'It's speculation, and as Ive said before, when teams are doing well the players, and sometimes the manager, is subject to this sort of speculation.
There is nothing I can do to stop it and I don't really see why I should want to. Its very flattering to be linked with a championship club.'
said DD

It is the nature of the beast that speculation will continue until the vacancy is filled. It is hoped that such speculation is not a ditraction to the first team.
