Half term report Wycombe Wanders

Half term report Wycombe Wanders

Wycombe Wanders

A mixed season for Wycombe so far, a wonderful cup run has seen them reach the semi finals with a two legged tie against Chelsea. This game might just define there season, it isn`t the intensity of the extra games in January off the back of a hectic Christmas period. It is more how they react to when the run is over, I remember the problems Walsall had in a similar position after the Liverpool semi finals many moons ago.
The management have promised that gate monies will be ploughed into the team, which in truth is strong enough to challenge anyway. So all indications are they will be there or there abouts.
There league position of sixth some 6 points behind 3rd place Lincoln is not where they want to be. Things could get worse if they lose to Lincoln on saturday, a nine point gap would be a lot to claw back, so this game has turned into a real must not lose game. However a win and the New Year will look rosey.

I predicted automatic promotion for the Chairboys but Play offs looks likely.

Hope their fantastic run in the cup doesn't take their minds off the league.
