Half term report Stockport County

Half term report Stockport County

Stockport County
I called the Stockport fans misguided in pre season, well you Hatters I have to eat humble pie. In Jim Gannon you have a manager who has pulled it out of the fire in my opinion. In no small way his use of the transfer and loan market has been excellent, and if it wasn`t for a bad start when goals were hard to come by things might have been looking even better. I doubted that the finance and structure was right to move the playing side of the club forward if the same level of backing and form can be maintained then the club may even kick on.
Sitting in midtable on 32 points that last play off spot is in reach (38 points) If the squad can be kept together and any loans replaced a top ten finish is on the cards. A play spot well that is in the lap of the gods, but recent defeats against Wycombe and MK Dons suggest that they have not got what it takes to mix it with the divisions big boys.

Well, its our home form that is getting us up that high. We've collected 19 out of the last 21 points at home. We've beaten Wycombe and Lincoln at home. BTW, we are 3 points from the play-offs. If we sort our away form out, get a proper goalkeeper and a right back, then we should be sorted for the play off push!

Allegedly signing Stock from then Nobbers for a 6figure fee too.

A fair assessment Jorge. We may get into the playoffs and we are getting stronger by the week but promotion this season may be too much too soon.
