Half term report Lincoln City

Lincoln City
Another one which I have to admit I got wrong I predicted a season of rebuilding following the departures of Keith Alexander and some key players. I was unsure if Mark Stallard was the answer upfront following his performances at Shrewsbury, his goals for tally and Lincolns points tally have proved me wrong.
The question now is will it be Champions, automatic promotion or play offs. At one point they were top of the league and it looked like no one would catch them. Then they were hit by some inconsistency that cost them dear. What caused these blips I am not sure but if it was a reaction to the pressure then I fear for there ability to close off the season in a top three spot. A repeat of the form that saw them lose all the November games would be unthinkable, recent form has shown an upturn and points from there next games against Wycombe Saturday and MK Dons on 8/1/07 will be crucial to confidence. I would also expect them to be busy in the transfer market during January, Up front will need cover as will over areas as injuries and suspensions hit second half of the season.
However I see Play offs for the Imps and they could well be the team to beat.

I bet Lincoln aren't hoping for the playoffs after recent seasons....
