'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dickie Dosh gets his Walsall wish

Although many saddlers fans will not look forward to another saturday with out a game, that is exactly what is going to happen.

Macclesfield today reached the third round of the cup by beating Hartlepool 2-1. The third round is scheduled to be played on the weekend of January 6th. Where funny enough we were due to play at Moss Road. This game is now likely to be rescheduled for later in the season.

Mystic Dickie Dosh had said prior to this weekend that a silkman win would be ideal so that the players could recover from a hetic holiday programme. So after a home game on 30/12 against Bristol Rovers and a crucial looking away game at Peterborough on Monday 1/1 the saddlers will not play again until the 15th January. This due to the movement of the saturday game against Grimsby to the monday night to allow Sky TV coverage.

As long as the troops are not ring rusty for the TV camera's. I don't think I could cope with the stick if we performed as we did against Macclesfield.
