Bonser reveals Merse truth

Bonser has revealed all about Paul Merson`s tenure as Walsall manager, but only to the Express and Star.

Merse, who has now carved out a media career for himself, did have problems controlling his alcoholism while he was at the Saddlers helm. However, it is now said that Bonser remains close to Merson, but he does not have the same relationship with Richard Money. Bonser does state that he does have a very professional 'working relationship` with Money, but he is not as close as he once was when Merson was in charge.

Bonser also went on to say that Richard Money was the man to take Walsall forward, as he wanted to appoint someone with managerial and coaching experience, and Dickie Dosh had fitted the bill perfectly.
