Walsall head for January Sales

It has been confirmed that Walsall were hoping to unvail a new striker this week, some rumours are saying tomorrow. One site has uncovered the possible idenity...walsalls footy mad site can take the credit with some help from per I under stand.

Swedish striker, Pär Cederquist looks to be the striker The striker who signed for Norweigan side Raufoss in the summer. The 26 year old striker stands at 6 foot 2 inches and has a very impressive goal ratio of 0.53 per game. He made his debut for IFK Värnamo as a 16 year old and he broke into the reserve side when only 14 years of age. His recent career record:

Footy mad state the news of this move has been released on Norweigan football sites. Also they say that the local Raufoss fans are upset that Cederquist is set to leave them for an English 4th tier side. They fail to see why he would jump ship to a team outside the top leagues.Whether that is just them been above there station or the fact we have a real steal due to DD contacts over there remains to be seen.

Also it is now clear that DD is looking at the right back position with Vancover Whitecaps player Geordie Lyall aged 30 turning up on trial. This not uncommon since a lot of state side players accept trials knowing if nothing comes of it at least they have maintained there fitness during there leagues winter break. However the canadian comes with high hopes and is well thought of by the Vancover fans picking up a numbe rof supporters awards in his time there.

News on Alan Picken is that the operation went well and didn't uncover anything too serious. A certain amount of debris in the knee joint was cleaned out meaning a return to training in weeks rather than months.
