Many who saw the tackle in question were confused by thwe refs actions to play on and only take action once Macclesfield players started to moan. However the TV replays shows the tackle as reckless and ill timed, although no intent to hurt the player was evident.

So what did the boys at FA think...red card upheld, so Craig Pead will serve a three match ban, missing Hereford away this saturday, the FA Cup replay against Macclesfield on tuesday, and next saturdays home game with Notts County. It will be hoped that Chris Westwoods calf injury has recovered enough to allow him to stand in.
