Smith 'Sign Soon Or Goodbye'

Smith 'Sign Soon Or Goodbye'

Walsall boss Dean Smith has today fired a warning to all his out of contract stars, sign up swiftly or go on free transfer.

The warning has come following the mess the club endured during last summer waiting on Will Grigg and Febian Brandy to sign new deals - only for them to move to other clubs. This left Dean Smith behind in the transfer race and missed out on several targets.

Smith told the Express and Star 'There is (a 28-day period) but this time there won`t be because the conversation will be: 'Right, we want you. Do you want to stay? Let`s sort a deal out now, otherwise you`ll be a free transfer'

"I`m not going to have offers out there where people can go and bargain with other clubs and your budget is tied up'

Finally the club have learned their lessons from last season - heres to a summer of quality not quantity.
