Butler Target For Former Club?

Butler Target For Former Club?

The season is not over yet we find ourselves with the start of the transfer circus of who will remain and depart WS1 this summer.

The first rumour circulating is that Scunthorpe are looking to Walsall skipper, Andy Butler as their first signing following the clubs promotion back to League 1.

Butler is a legend amongst the Irons having played for the club between 2002 and 2006, making 136 appearances for the North Lincolnshire side.

Bradford are another club thought to be monitoring the availability of Butler following their failed bid a few years ago.

Butler has until 1st May to trigger the option of another year on his current contract.

The thought of Butler departing will make most Walsall fans feel pig sick given that Butler has now become a fans favourite.
