Walsall Looking For £1m From Grigg Tribunal

Walsall Looking For £1m From Grigg Tribunal

Dean Smith has today told Radio WM that Walsall will be looking for £1m from the tribunal of Will Grigg.

Grigg today moved to League 1 rivals Brentford on a free transfer however due to being under the age of 24 and spending the majority of his youth career with Walsall, we will be entitled to a large fee.

Given that Grigg was offered a 4 year deal, finished in the top 3 of League 1 goalscorers last season and the added bonus he's a full international then Walsall will hopefully be given a fair hearing at the tribunal. Brentford are some way off that valuation and this will drag out for a few weeks, not ideal preparation for the new season.
