Walsall Looking For 1m From Grigg Tribunal

Dean Smith has today told Radio WM that Walsall will be looking for 1m from the tribunal of Will Grigg.

Grigg today moved to League 1 rivals Brentford on a free transfer however due to being under the age of 24 and spending the majority of his youth career with Walsall, we will be entitled to a large fee.

Given that Grigg was offered a 4 year deal, finished in the top 3 of League 1 goalscorers last season and the added bonus he's a full international then Walsall will hopefully be given a fair hearing at the tribunal. Brentford are some way off that valuation and this will drag out for a few weeks, not ideal preparation for the new season.
