Aston Villa Friendly Announced

Near neighbours Aston Villa have been chosen to mark our 125th anniversary.

We will play them at The Banks's Stadium on Wednesday 31st July.

Villa were our first opponents in 1888 and were our first visitors after the opening of Bescot Stadium in 1990.

It is hoped that with the game a landmark in the history of Walsall, this friendly doesnt turn into a non existent affair with both teams making wholesale changes at half time. Although this is something that has probably been mentioned by both clubs.

We still have one outstanding friendly fixture remaining at home....whats the betting it will be WBA??

Admission prices for this game have been set at £12 (adults) and £6 (concessions). Disabled supporters' cost is the relevant price band with a carer free of charge.

Please note that visiting supporters will be accommodated in the away stand behind the goal and also the Five Rivers Family Stand for this game.
