Walsall To Benefit From Watford Win

Last Sunday I found myself gripped by the up's and down's of the Championship final day and did find myself shouting Hull for victory. The news reaching us today has made me realise I was cheering on the wrong side!

Should Watford now overcome Leicester and either Brighton or Crystal Palace in the Championship play-offs then Walsall will receive 150,000 from the Hornets.

In 2010, Troy Deeney moved from Walsall to Watford for 500,000 which included a clause of 150,000 should Watford reach the Premiership.

This will be a very handy sum of money for Dean Smith to throw towards contracts in the summer.

We shall be shouting for a Watford victory this evening!
