McCarey Returns On Loan

Walsall today agreed a loan deal to bring Wolves goalkeeper Aaron McCarey back to The Banks's Stadium until the end of the season, following Ian Mcloughlin's recall to MK Dons.

The Republic Under 21 international was a key member of the side during November and early December. During his spell he conceeded 14 goals in 8 games, including our 5-1 drubbing at Coventry.

Dean Smith had this to say "Whilst I was disappointed to see Ian McLoughlin recalled by MK Dons, I had no qualms in bringing Aaron back here. He had a really good spell with us just before Christmas and showed us what he is all about'

Given the fact Dean Smith has now tried and tested three loanee goalkeepers, it would seem fairly conclusive that David Grof has no future with Walsall FC.
