Walsall wait on Anthony

Walsall wait on Anthony

Walsall have taken (for us) the rare step to appeal against Anthony Gerrards red card. The dismissal was given by Mr J Singh on tuesday. Many people viewed the red card as harsh, many believing if that is the standard set for a player going for a bouncing ball we will end up with each game ending nine a side.

However having viewed the challenge on tv the jury is more split so to speak. No one can argue that Anthony caught Benjamin although the oscar is in the post. However there was no intention other to get the ball.

We will have to wait and see
